During the assault on the offices upstairs, some kind of special weapon was activated... I remember a bright blue flash above, before I blacked out. And then all the electronics failed.

I've never encountered such a powerful EMP weapon before. I need to find out what technology was used on the city and who's behind it.

I doubt anyone can help me with this better than the Mechanic.

The story quest tells of a mysterious TerraGroup development – ​​a pulsed EMP weapon.

The quest is activated by finding a leaflet in the Forest location. The leaflet is attached to the side of a cabinet in one of the medical containers.

After finding it, we speak with the Mechanic, who gives us a tip on the Scavs and the Cultists who may have looted the weapon's parts.

We proceed to the Tarkov Streets location, having first taken the marked key from the strange room – it opens the Cultists' room at 13 Chekannaya Street. We find a part of the device in a bucket in the corner and leave the location alive to hand it over to the Mechanic.

We speak with the Mechanic, who sends us to the Laboratory location with a hacking device, which we need to plant in the server room (the device is available for purchase from the Mechanic).

After completing the subquest, we speak with the Mechanic, who gives us a tip on the documentation in the Laboratory offices. You also have the option to sell the item you found in the marked area or keep it for yourself. When selling, the merchant gives you currency.

We proceed to the Laboratory location in sector O22, where the offices are located. We examine the desks for a blue folder with documentation. From it, we learn that the installation plans were sent by mail.

We leave the location alive to hand over the documents and proceed to the Streets of Tarkov. On Primorsky Prospekt, not far from the Pinewood Hotel, we find a Rus Post car, which opens with the Rus Post Car Key.

The key is often found on Scavs, in jackets, and on tables at the post office. It's also possible to find the key next to the car.

We find the plans in the trunk and leave the location. Afterwards, you'll earn the "Blue Fire" achievement and complete the storyline.
